Do You Have a Clear Path to a Good Destination?

I often hear people say statements that seem to be universally accepted. “Life is a great journey.” “It is just part of my journey.” “He/she is just taking a different path.” There was always something bothersome to me about these statements, but only relatively recently could I put it into words. Life is a journey where few seem to know their destination. Of course, you can’t get lost if you have no destination! Few people set out for grocery shopping without knowing where they are going. Yet most of us recognize that we are on a grand life journey with no clear destination or goal. Sure, you may have goals in your career or lifestyle that you have set for yourself, but they are truly only mileposts you have established along the way to somewhere. Be on a journey to somewhere.

The Brown Sugar Secret to the Game of Life

Long before I became a doctor, at around the age of fifteen, the thing I wanted to be more than anything else was a chef in a five-star restaurant. At the tender young age of fifteen l was a bizarre mix of part Daniel Boone, part book-worm, and part chef-wanna-be.

My first magazine subscription was Field and Stream and my second and third was Bon Appetit and Food and Wine. After eight years of cooking in restaurants I did become a chef in the world-renowned five-star New Orleans restaurant, Arnaud’s, where nine U.S. Presidents had eaten.

However, it was my Mother who taught me much of what I know of cooking, and a magnificent cook she is! Little did I know that 32 years later something she taught me in the kitchen would be what came to mind for me upon my learning one of the greatest secrets to success in any situation in life!

In cooking many believe that a good cook or chef doesn’t have (more…)

Oneness in the Face of Lyme Disease

To be one with our most Divine concept of God in the face of an adversity such as Lyme disease can be a daunting concept. However, the benefits far outweigh the challenge of achieving oneness.

When one considers that the body, mind, and spirit are all interconnected and all interdependent, when the body is sick then so is the mind and the spiritual awareness.

So how might a person achieve “Oneness” when life is so chaotic?

Number one, every attempt must be made to choose only healing techniques and doctors who strive to work with the design of the body, instead of forcing it into drug-induced illusions of health…the “Tylenol-mentality.”

If a person must continually take any medication in order to feel good, then it might as well be magic (drug-induced illusions) because the reality is that if you take the pill or IV away, the illness is not only still there in the body, but it has grown worse.

If we create the illusion of health in the body when actually it is still diseased, then the mind and the spirit will be impaired, even though the body is apparently symptom free.

Once you find a doctor who works in alignment and synergy with your body’s true design without causing harm to any other part of your body in the name of “healing” you, it is important to learn the inward path of awareness.

Although the brain can think many things, both true and untrue, it is the things of the heart, our heart truths, that transform and shape us into who we are. Meditation techniques can help you determine if your heart truths are in alignment with your Divinity. Essential oils, such as Frankincense, Sandalwood, Myrrh, and Palo Santo can all help facilitate deeper connection to our higher brain functions…that connect us with God.

Michael Angelo once said that if you would pray in the light of a violet stained glass window that your connection to God would be magnified. Now we know from science that the violet wavelengths of light stimulate these higher brain centers.

In the ancient Biblical times, if one followed the clean and the unclean laws but still got sick, they were instructed to go to the high priest and he would pour Hyssop oil into his left palm and using his right index finger he would anoint the tip of the right ear (so that they could hear what God would have them hear), the right thumb (the right hand being the power hand, so that what could do as God would have them do), the right big toe (so they could go with strength, balance, and agility in the direction God would have them go), and the remaining oil would be applied to the top of the head (so they would know what God’s will was for them). After this the priest would say a pray of atonement for them, bringing them back into alignment with God…and they would be healed.

Atonement is an interesting word. If it is broken down it says, “At-One-Ment.” Oneness is that point when, according to research performed by the U.S. Army, the DNA strands of our body become perfectly coiled and all of the genetic expression is turned on correctly. In other words, your genetic blueprint expresses incorrectly in any other condition other than pure love.

Your resistance to infection is better when you are functioning from oneness/love. In oneness we are the embodiment of love…the personification of love, and radiate that love and oneness unconditionally to the world.

“…and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” – quote, Luke 10:19

Isn’t It Interesting?

I find it interesting that over the course of literally tens of thousands of treatments on people that it is so very apparent to me that the restoration of health, no matter what the diagnosis, very often has little to do with blood tests and drugs.

I find it interesting to see that a woman’s cancer went into “spontaneous remission” when the she shifted her point of perspective and was transformed instantly.

I find it interesting to see people who have fought the impulse to be ugly and mean or even being depressed and sad for their entire life find health, joy, and peace after an imbalance in their teeth and jaws was corrected.

I find it interesting to see a person filled with excessive sinus congestion and pneumonia can stand up after one treatment of their spine and breathe clearly with no sign of pneumonia ever again.

I find it interesting when chronic daily headaches for over a year disappeared after a lady stopped chewing gum containing NutraSweet.

I find it interesting that years of many symptoms disappeared in a woman after she quit a highly stressful job in a bank.

I find it interesting that a man’s heart arrhythmia and heart palpitations went away whenever he would take his dentures out.

I find it interesting that when a woman forgave those who injured her in the past, and learned to live the embodiment of love, her chest pain and chronic anxiety disappeared.

I find it interesting that after four and a half months with the inability to walk, a young girl could walk after one hour of treatment once the organ circuits were turned back on.

I find it interesting when a man with a frozen shoulder was instantly restored to strength, mobility, and no pain after the application of an essential oil over his liver.

It is a wonder to me that we give so much credibility to doctor’s concepts of incurable illness, the concept of health through the analysis of blood, and the prophetic prognosis of “just learning to live with your illness.”

I encourage you to not accept that it is just your lot in life to need to take drugs for the rest of your life.

Very few doctors are pushing the limits of knowledge like doctors practicing American Biological Medicine to learn and apply the latest science to not just mask your symptoms but restore your body, mind, and spirit to its most optimum health.

There are no guarantees in healthcare, but I can guarantee you one thing is certain…

If you keep doing the things that you are doing you will keep getting the same results.

If you do something different you just might get better results.

I suggest you give American Biological Medicine a chance to give you a different life.

Everyday Miracles

The inspiration for this book arose from a sense of knowingness that everyone on the planet needs to be empowered with the knowledge that God’s Word is true and that the latest scientific endeavors are continually reaffirming this fact!

What I know to be true is that as my family, and others with whom we have shared this knowledge, practice the truths laid forth in this book, the miracles are stacking up. From the complete healing of my eleven-year-old daughter’s paralysis of both legs from West Nile Virus, to instantaneously fixing broken computers, printers and automobiles we are finding the “little miracles” are becoming commonplace and too numerous to recall.

Only the “bigger ones” remain in memory – although we thank God for all blessings big and small.

All of us are on a journey that has no end, but with the correct destination, the journey is empowering the farther along we go. Everyday Miracles by God’s Design is not the end all dissertations on how to experience the miraculous,“more than abundant life” promised us by God. It is a guide.

I believe the contents of this book are divinely inspired! I am not a theologian trained in hallowed halls of stone and brick. I am what the Word of God says I am…a worthy Son of God, heir to all that God is and joint-heir with Christ.Open your mind and heart to what God is saying. I have purposely focused this book on God’s light and love. You will find no “fire and brimstone” because I want and God wants for you to operate in His “perfect love” without fear and without condemnation. If you will walk in the light as God is in the light, a tremendous miracle will happen… all fear will evaporate.

Great efforts were made to accurately interpret  throughout this book, based upon the ancient and original text of the Holy Bible, the prior usage of the words, the context of the reference, and most importantly by opening my heart and mind and simply asking God to show me and teach me His truth.

I have provided the scripture references in the body of the text so that you can immediately see that what I am saying is backed up by God’s Word in the Bible.

Each time I read this book, I am overwhelmed by thelig ht of God’s love emanating from the text. It was never hidden, but the real “how to” of living a miracle filled life is revealed here again in God’s words. This book is short enough to read virtually every day. I encourage you to work the concepts in this book by purposely and consciously taking it apart piece by piece and meditating on it. Integrate each aspect into every day.

What we know is that God’s Word has a mathematical and scientific precision. To leave out anything is to destroy this precision. As you practice these keys presented herein, you will find that God will develop in you a sense of “knowingness” so you can always know, beyond the ability of your five senses to know, when you are de-powering Him in your life. Cultivate this knowingness and you will know what works and what is required for you to manifest God’s power in your life.

Everyday Miracles by God’s Design is written to and for all, from no particular religious denomination or theology other than being based upon the right-use-ness (right application to righteousness) of God’s Word, referenced through The Holy Bible. It is a path that all can follow who seek to know God better. It is also a guide to reaching our highest level of spiritual achievement (the Greek word, teleioteta), meaning
“perfection,” as spoken of in Mark 6:1 -perfect love.

I am so excited for you! Read it a hundred times if necessary and be empowered with God’s light and love.

I pray that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened and that your heart be empowered with the knowledge to reach ever greater spiritual maturity as a child of God.

May God be glorified in this work.

Learning to Notice

I definitely receive 10,000 x 10,000 in blessings from God. My life seems to be spent learning to notice the blessings and learning to trust that as I continue to give to others, of my time, love, care, compassion, and service, that all I could ever want and all that I do want is coming to me within each moment.

If we are not observant of the Divine synchronicities…blessings within each moment…the joyful journey through life passes unnoticed and uncelebrated…like the ever-changing, scintillating flashes of color and light from the many facets of a well cut diamond ring, which if we are not observant puts on its fiery show, yet is largely unappreciated and lost in the moment amongst the busy-ness of the day.

Blessings pelt us like millions of raindrops as heaven and earth is moved like clockwork in the orchestra of Divine synchronicity to bring about that which we steadfastly hold in the “want chamber” our heart.

The spice of life is tasted in the many flashes of all that is.
Each interaction in our lives is a lesson in developing compassion. Our interactions are the fine grit with which the progressive soul can polish the awareness of its own and other’s Divine nature.

Every life we get to touch and every life that touches us is a lesson and a blessing. I am a better man for having known you, and you, and you!

Do you feel you are shark bait?

I have noticed a common tendency of distrust in many people who come to the Hansa Center for help. They have been to so many doctors and therapists with little to show for it but a dwindling savings account and steadily worsening illness, that they no longer trust doctors and they trust their ability to ever get well even less.

Let me share a true story with you from my own life in order to make a point. In my early 20’s I worked a little more than a year and a half as a “Roustabout” on the offshore oil rigs out in the Gulf of Mexico. These oil rigs were located about 60 miles off the coast of Louisiana. As one stood on the highest point and looked as far as the eye could see, there was nothing for 360° but water.

As part of ongoing training, all the workers had to practice “Man-Overboard” drills, in case we had to abandon the oil rig by jumping 90 feet into the water. To do these drills we all would put on what we called “Penguin Suits.” These suits were special one piece, one-size-fits-all, floatation suits that left only your eyes showing. The penguin suit was designed to automatically flip you over on your back in case you were unconscious for some reason.

The instructors told us that it is no use trying to swim in these suits since they will just flip you over on your back. Well, I am 6’7” tall and not only was the idea of floating helplessly on my back unappealing, but I was convinced that the manufacturers of the suit never had someone my size in mind when they designed their suits. I made up my mind before we had even gotten in the lifeboats for the drill that I would volunteer to jump in first. I was going to prove I could swim in this suit, which on my tall frame was stretched thin!

A group of us loaded into a covered lifeboat and headed quite a distance from the oil rig so that whoever got in would not wash up underneath the rig. This would not be a good idea for many reasons. The legs of the rig were covered with large barnacles which would easily cut you up, and besides that all the food scraps were always thrown overboard so many types of sharks routinely policed the area beneath the rig.

Anxious to prove them wrong, and swim in the suit, I eagerly volunteered to be the first in the water, while the others motored the boat away so each person could practice maneuvering the boat…the idea being for everyone to learn how to pilot the boat and pick people up out of the water without running over them with the boat.

There I was, afloat in the wide-open blue of the Gulf. Sure enough the suit immediately flipped me on my back, and struggle as I may I could do no more than clumsily roll to my stomach and dip my face beneath the water for just a moment before once again being flipped on my back.

Up to this point I had been too busy attempting to swim to take much notice of my surroundings. I allowed myself to be flipped finally on my back and looked around. I raised my head and realized that I was completely alone!

The lifeboat was practicing maneuvers about 400-500 yards away on the other side of the oil rig, which now looked very small in the wide expanse of the Gulf.

Here I was floating on my back, a totally vulnerable feeling position, where my vision was just above the surface of the water, with 60 feet of water beneath me to the bottom of the Gulf!

I had been flapping and flailing around a lot. I thought only now how stupid that was! We saw big Hammerheads and other types of sharks swimming around the rig all the time. In my two-tone, black and red, penguin suit I probably looked like a wounded something…Dinner to some of those sharks!

Just about that time, I kid you not; a HUGE dorsal fin sliced the water and cruised by, at EYE LEVEL, about five feet from me! As I floated helplessly in the dark, murky water of the Gulf, I could not see anything below the surface. Not only was my fear coming from having seen the huge dorsal fin slicing the water, but there was an eerie sense that something very large was passing uncomfortably close to me.

The only way I can communicate what my body’s “sixth sense” felt like is to have you imagine putting on earplugs on a pitch black night and having someone position you three feet from a passing freight train! I about died right then!

I quickly looked for the lifeboat – those bums were nowhere close! Do I yell? No, that might attract attention from the wrong part of the Gulf! More huge fins sliced the water even closer this time! I could do nothing. I just froze with my mind going a mile-a-minute, ‘how to survive when I was so helpless?’

The swells would raise me higher and I would strain to see the lifeboat. I promised myself I would respect the sea from now on. How small I am – nothing but watery horizons in all directions, except for the woefully small oilrig. I think I am drifting further away from it.

Saltwater splashes in my eyes. ‘Don’t rub it – the movement might attract the sharks’ I think to myself. The sun and saltwater burn my eyes and nose, but I dare not move. I couldn’t close my eyes. Maybe if I saw it coming I could dodge or even punch the shark. Did you ever feel like dinner, or more accurately, that we are dinner? Help is close, but I am too afraid to call out.

Finally, after what seems an eternity, the lifeboat starts nosing its way towards me, its small propeller straining against the swells of water. If they hurry, I think, maybe I will still be in one piece!

Safe at last! Someone was pulling me onboard. I am an emotional wreck, though I put on a feeble attempt to appear nonchalant about being
PULLED FROM THE MOUTH OF JAWS HIMSELF!

On the ride back to the oilrig, we were immediately joined by 13 foot long, mottled, gray and white porpoises, with large dorsal fins! They easily matched the small lifeboat’s speed and finned their way along side of us within arms reach for a few minutes before vanishing in the depths.

These were my “sharks” after all that! They were friendly; letting some of the guys touch their rough skin. But still, I was very happy to be in the boat! I found out later that they are what are known as Risso’s dolphins, sometimes called “gray dolphins,” and can reach lengths of approximately 8.5-13 feet (2.6-4 m) and weigh 660-1,100 pounds (300-500 kg).

Just as I was so vulnerable, so are many people when it comes to illness. You feel you are out there all alone. There is advice coming to you from all quarters. Every remedy sounds like it should work, but doesn’t. It feels like sharks are draining you of your money, and primarily draining you of your hope.

We at the Hansa Center want to be your lifeboat. To save lives is our life’s calling. Our goal is to completely restore your body, mind, and spirit, quickly and naturally, and not to just facilitate your healing, but also teach you how to stay out of trouble in the future.

We study constantly to learn new ways to help you better. However, we don’t want to just make you feel better, we want you to be well – permanently!

Don’t give up!

I Promise You Rose Gardens!

Do you want to have only joyful interactions with everyone in your life? How about having only peace and harmony with plenty of anything you want thrown in?

Just the other day, I had a lady patient who thought my writings over-emphasized being joyful and having plenty all the time, said to me…

“Dr. Jernigan, God never promised us a rose garden.”

She went on to say how she believed our life was basically Divinely destined for pain and suffering, trial and tribulation.

We look around at what seems to be universal suffering and think it must be true. We join churches and follow teachers and masters in the hope that it is not true, that somehow we can rise above the suffering.

To me, thinking God wants us to suffer seems so unlikely. Are we to believe that God sent His son to live among us so that he can tell us “I know you are suffering and life is hard, but be at peace because if you follow me you can really experience how bad life can be, but in all your suffering God is made strong and if you are really good then he might throw you a bone every now and then!”

“WooHoo, who wants to join me?”

Jesus said, and so did many texts say the complete opposite…
“I have come that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly!”

Another reference says, “I know the plans I have for you and they are for good and NOT evil.”

In another, “Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and asking with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds…”

“Ask and it will be given unto you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open for you.”
Yet another says if you play by the rules, “…you will ask whatever you want, and it will be done!”

“Love one another so your joy will be full!”

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

“Test me in this,” says God Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”

“God is willing and able to do above and beyond all that we can ask or even think to ask for!”

I am not here to sell you religion. I am here to promise you all the rose gardens you want if you will understand who you truly are and how to get them!

I am talking about getting so much physical, emotional, mental, material, and spiritual prosperity that “you will not have room enough for it!”

Notice in the first reference I wrote, Jesus says, “you might” twice! Not that you would just because you are alive, but “you might” if you choose to learn the rules to the game of life and follow his instructions.

If what you have been doing is not creating the results you want then why are you holding onto it for dear life?

Every blog article I have written or will write is based upon these Divine rules.

The key is applying all the truths consistently and everything will come up roses!

Walking on Eggshells

We all have heard and experience this phrase. Living with someone who makes us feel like we must walk on eggshells around them leaves one quite shell-shocked! I just had to be “pun-ny”.

Really though, the true reality is that no one can make you feel anything! If we are feeling like we must walk on eggshells then we are giving away our own choice to decide what reality we want to live in, ours or the other person’s.

I remember when I was in Basic Training in the U.S. Air Force. One day, with all of us new recruits at “attention” on the drill pad, the drill sergeant decided he needed to try to get in my face and scream about something. He didn’t ever seem to really need a reason, which was shown by his invitation to fight behind the barracks with me on the first day there, since I was the tallest and biggest guy. I assured him, he could be the big man!

Since I am 6’7” tall and he was only 5’11” he was on his tip toes trying unsuccessfully to put the bill of his hat in my face as the veins in his dark red face popped out as he screamed. I had done nothing wrong, but he had it to do apparently.

I was already 23 years old and had experienced a lot of rough men on offshore oilrigs and Mississippi riverboats, so I was completely unaffected by his screaming. As I stood there at rigid “attention” all I could think of was Gomer Pyle! Seriously, it was all I could do not to laugh at the situation, and I stood struggling not to grin. This made him even madder. Of course I would never, but I so could see Gomer saying “Well Golly Sarg!”

Do you see that we can choose our response? Do you also see that when we feel like we must walk on eggshells that the problem is in us and not the other person?

It is a cop-out to blame someone else for our response. No one can make you joyful. No one can give you self-esteem. No one can bum you out. No one can make you feel loved and appreciated.

You are not a product of your surroundings. You are a product of your own choices!

Functionally Dysfunctional Boxes

In my last blog post called “The Aquarium Shark” I spoke of how our comfort zone is our box within which we view the world and live. I want to expand upon this theme.

I have heard many people tell me that if the life they are living is supposed to be their “Comfort Zone” there is nothing comfortable about it.

Life can be quite uncomfortable and miserable within our boxes. As uncomfortable as life may be, it must be understood that we are playing the game of life following the rules we agreed to use. Rules to the game of life seem to line the inside boundaries of each of our boxes.

Once we understand how we keep getting what it is that we are getting, either comfortable or uncomfortable we can begin to take more control by opening up to redefining our rules.

For instance, a rule I have heard many people say that the word “Grace” from the Bible is defined as “Undeserved favor from Divine Source.” Remember that our rules define the boundaries of our box. So from this definition of grace we see the viewpoint that grace is a PASSIVE event like God “throwing us a bone every now and then.”

I was shocked the first time I realized that all of the reference books say that the true definition of the word “Grace” is that it is a ACTIVE utilization of Divine light and love!

The true definition of grace is, “The purposeful allowing and influence of Divine light and love working in and through your heart and its reflection in the world around you.”

Can you see how empowering this true definition can be in your expansion of your box?
Can you see also how limiting it can be if you have been living within your box thinking that grace is a passive thing?

I like to ask people who believe its passive “Does it kind of feel like God is stingy with his bones?”

Armed with the accurate definition of grace we can improve what it is that we are getting. As we ACTIVELY and PURPOSEFULLY send out Divine Light and Love from our hearts into the workplace, people, and events of our lives those rays of light and love bounce (reflection) off everyone and everything in our world and come back at us as what we would identify as FAVOR! Contrast this with praying earnestly for help and then wondering why help often doesn’t come, why you don’t get your bone.

We all must understand how we keep getting what we are getting in our Comfort Zone. Our boundaries of our boxes will not shift one inch until we really look at the rules we brought into it, consciously or subconsciously.

This is the value of going outside of your comfort zone. If we continue to seek answers from sources that also bought into the same rules, we will beat at the walls of our box to no avail. Sincerity is no guarantee of truth.

Question everything you think you know, especially those rules you feel you “definitely know!”

The strongest rules are often the most limiting.
